The Mohnton Lion's Club would like to thank our sponsors whom without their generous support, this event could not be possible.
In addition to insurance and all the other items associated with the race, the Lions Club sends two winners to the World Championship each Summer. In the end the 1 day event costs over $7K and approximately 75% of the funding comes directly from area businesses who sponsor the race. We have spent your funding wisely and have added pieces little by little each year.
The largest expense in Year 1 was a timing devise that cost $1K. Last year we added two trailers to tow cars up the hill and had new permanent ramps constructed out of steel. This year we are adding a slightly better scale to weigh the cars, safety cones for the length of the track and over 700 feet of safety fence to protect racers and spectators.
We hope that past sponsors will continue to support this community event and new potential sponsors will get involved.
